Why Stack & Repeat™ Exists
Stack & Repeat exists to help people regain clarity when the old playbook stops working. For many people; young and old, financial stability was built on a familiar formula: build a career, earn consistently, save responsibly, and let time do the rest. For a long time, that formula worked. Then, for many of us, it didn’t.Career disruption, health events, structural shifts in technology, and changing economic realities exposed how fragile that certainty really was. When those assumptions break, optimism alone isn’t enough. What’s needed is clarity, discipline, and a system that holds up under pressure.
My Story (In Brief)
A little over two years ago, I was carrying more than $175,000 in debt, not including my primary mortgage.Like many professionals, I believed I was doing the “right” things—working hard, advancing my career, trusting that stability would continue. Then a series of events reshaped everything. In January 2025, I accepted an early buyout and was effectively laid off. That same year, I underwent three unplanned and unexpected surgeries, forcing a complete pause—professionally and personally. What followed wasn’t a dramatic turnaround, but a disciplined rebuild focused on reducing complexity, separating assets from income, and making repeatable decisions instead of predictions.
What This Is (and What It Isn’t)
Stack & Repeat™ is:
✓ An educational project
✓ A framework, not a formula
✓ Learning in public
✓ Grounded in lived experience
Stack & Repeat™ is not:
✓ Financial, legal, or tax advice
✓ A promise of outcomes
✓ A get-rich-quick strategy
There are no shortcuts here—only tradeoffs.
Who This Is For
Stack & Repeat™ is for people who:
✓ Value clarity over noise
✓ Prefer systems to predictions
✓ Care more about durability than speed
✓ Are navigating disruption, transition, or early independence
The Great Tech Reset
What happened to me wasn’t unique.Across technology and professional services, long-standing assumptions about job security, career linearity, and retirement timing have quietly collapsed.Layoffs, buyouts, and restructurings are no longer edge cases—they are structural.Stack & Repeat™ is my response to that reality.
How Stack & Repeat™ Emerged
Instead of reacting emotionally or chasing optimization, I focused on three fundamentals:
✓ Assets — things that compound over time.
✓ Income — cash flow that reduces pressure and creates optionality.
✓ Discipline — repeatable rules that remove emotion from decisions.
The idea is simple:
✓ Stack assets.
✓ Stack income.
✓ Repeat with discipline.
This framework became the foundation for everything documented here.
